I’m a self proclaimed gym rat. I’ve worked out since my early 20s (thanks to my boyfriend, now husband). Cardio was my main focus, but would intermittently use the machines. I didn’t want to get “big.” My routine and goals changed as I matured and I used more weights.
I found out about Peak Performance on Facebook in 2014. I started with a Saturday class, then worked my way up to 2x a week. I currently go 3x a week for small group personal training. I hate it when I miss a session.
I’ve had good…really good trainers in the past, but Peak offers a more individualized plan, and I’m lifting heavy weights correctly. Never thought I’d be deadlifting 175#! My body composition has changed, my muscles are more defined, and I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been. I love the friends I’ve made and the camaraderie that we have.
The key is commitment & consistency. I’ve had to make sacrifices (like getting up before the crack of dawn), but it’s so worth it. I’ve got one chance at this life, and I’m going to make the most of it, and be strong! #getyourpeakon
